What a great way to start off the summer. I wish we were in Paris today.
We attended the first Fête de la Musique in Paris back in 1982. We just walked all over the city enjoying the scene and the music. We even saw Joan Baez at Place de la Concorde.
Today is definitely a day to crank up the tunes and have a Pastis.
Although, I must confess that it is a beautiful day in the Virgin Islands...
So it goes! Enjoy...
Our sailing blog. A little of this and that as we are cruising the Caribbean islands aboard our CAL 34 sail boat. Comments on various subjects on the liveaboard cruising lifestyle such as destinations, anchorages, pets, wifi and internet access, sailing / boating tips, restaurants, marine services, business services, yacht charters, general day to day life...

Blowin' In The Wind
It's the first day of June and we all know what that means... another 6-month period of potentially windy, nasty weather.
Keep a watchful eye on the weather and don't wait until the last moment. It's much better to clear the decks than have the wind do it for you. Prepare for the worst. If the storm passes you by that's great! Don't think of it as wasted effort.
If a neighbor is having problems securing and preparing their boat, give them your assistance because they are a danger not only to themselves but to YOU. Also, never be smug :)
Speaking of "Blowin' In The Wind"... this classic folk song came on yesterday evening as we were having our sundowner.

[Verse 3]
Yes, and how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, and how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind
