Just a quick update (June 25, 2008) that work on the Dutch side bridge in St. Maarten (St. Martin) has not progressed to the point where they will have to implement the scheduled bridge closures as mentioned in our previous post.
This is the Caribbean!
Whenever they get around to it, expect the 3+ weeks of interruptions to the bridge's opening schedule.
Check this out before entering the Simpson Bay Lagoon, especially if your draft will not allow you to exit via the Sandy Ground bridge into Marigot Bay on the French side of St. Martin.
