You Can Save Lives - Be Smart & Continue To Stay At Home
Today, the US Virgin Islands have relaxed the "Stay At Home" order to the "Safer At Home" protocol.
I had to walk to the grocery store and one thing I noticed was the increase in traffic. It seemed almost the same as during "normal" times. I was shocked to see a young mother going down the road with her little one in a pushchair (no masks either). Why? Yes, it is a nice day but stay home so in the future you can have more nice days together safely. Aargh !
Just because you can now go bowling or get a massage, doesn't mean you have to. Stay safe by social distancing for a little bit longer. Make it better/safer for everyone.
Last Wednesday, April 29th, USVI Governor Albert Bryan Jr. announced Wednesday he is implementing a “Safer At Home” order that will become effective on Monday, May 4.
The Governor also said he is issuing an executive order that will detail the phased reopening of non-essential businesses and the guidelines to which they will be subject. The intention of the “Safer At Home” order is to begin the phased-reopening of the local economy in preparation for returning access to the outside world.
The transition will be managed according to a five-tiered system
- Red – Total quarantine
- Orange – Stay-At-Home order (in effect through 6 a.m. Monday, May 4)
- Yellow – Safer At Home order (effective May 4)
- Blue – Open Doors (hotel reservations and leisure guest bookings permitted; restaurants open for seating – anticipated June 1)
- Green – New Normal
